These small oval shaped terracotta objects are sling bullets. Like the iron arrow points found in Poggio La Croce, the clay projectiles could have been used for hunting or for defensive purposes.
It is probable therefore that besides defending their fortification, the inhabitants of this settlement also went hunting, an activity that was surely encouraged by the surrounding environment.
